Technical, Service and Battery Disposal

Do you need technical assistance?

If so your first point of contact and fastest way to resolve any issues is through the shop where you purchased the bike, even if this was on-line.

If you need to arrange a service for your Wisper ebike, or need technical assistance, your first point of contact is always with your local Wisper Dealer, even if you bought your bike on-line. Ā In nearly all cases they will be able to arrange a service or resolve any issue you may have with your bike quickly and efficiently. They will be pleased to hear from you and are best placed to look after you.

If they canā€™t resolve an issue, they will call our service department for assistance. We have many years experience and hold thousands of spare parts in our warehouse in Kent and inĀ mostĀ cases can despatch the exact part you need within 24 hours. Uniquely in the ebike business, we at Wisper support our bikesĀ up to and often more than seven years from new.

If your local Wisper Dealer is unable to offer the assistance you require, you are welcome to contact us by emailĀ [email protected]/nzĀ and one of our tech experts will get back to you. In most cases they will refer you to your original supplier and liaise with them in order to assist you. Whatever the situation we will make absolutely sure you are looked after in the most efficient manner possible.

Servicing your bike and free Safety Check

Safety Check

All electric bikes should be checked within the first hundred miles to make sure everything is properly tightened and safe. The price of your first Safety Check is included in the price of your bike on the condition the Safety Check is undertaken by the dealer that supplied the bike.Ā  Safety Checks carried out by other Wisper dealers must be paid for by the customer.Ā  A Safety Check is not a Service.

Servicing and RegularĀ Maintenance

Electric bikes, like cars and motor bikes need to be regularly serviced and maintained. Thereafter your bike should be serviced at least once a year to keep it in tip top shape. It is therefore very much more convenient to buy locally rather than on line from a business that you would find it difficult to get to.

Extended Warranty

Your Wisper electric bike must be properly serviced at least once a year by a professional Wisper electric bike dealer. This is a condition under which we extend the one year to a two year warranty. It is therefore necessary for your convenience that you should buy the bike from a dealer as close to your home or place of work as possible.

Wisper warranties are based on your bike being returned to the dealer who sold you the bike. Amps Electric Bikes Ltd cannot arrange collection of a bike which needs attention under warranty or for servicing free of charge, the cost for the supply of a carton, collection and return is Ā£110.00.

Servicing Costs

The prices below are prices that have been indicated to us by several Wisper dealers but should be confirmed with your chosen Wisper dealer before booking in your bike.

Wisper dealers are normally happy to provide a service on any Wisper bike, however for commercial reasons they need to charge more to customers who have not bought their Wisper bike directly from them.

Waste Wisper Bike Battery Return Policy

As a producer of industrial batteries under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Amps Electric Bikes Ltd produce Lithium Ion batteries. We are obliged to recycle your battery free of charge, we will however need to make a charge for the collection of the battery. We are required to do this in any calendar year we place new industrial batteries on the market. If any of our customers or in certain cases other end users, require us to take back Wisper eBike batteries, they should contact us atĀ [email protected]Ā We will agree the necessary arrangements for the return, proper treatment and recycling of the waste industrial batteries.

It is the responsibility of our customer or other end user to return the battery to Unit 7 Chaucer Business Park TN15 6PW if they would like us to dispose of the battery.

Some Useful Data

Tyre Pressures

Tyre Pressures vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, model to model and size to size therefore, for safety reasons, we do not show Tyre Pressures on our web pages.

The recommended pressures for your tyres can be found moulded on their side wall. If you have difficulty reading the information please refer to your supplier.

Tyres inflated below recommended levels can seriously reduce range and increase the chances of punctures.Ā  You should never inflate tyres above the manufacturerā€™s recommendations.
