How Does It Work?
Step 1
Tracker Installation
When you order a new Wisper bike, at the check out simply select to add either:
1. Wisper GPS Tracker and Alarm App plus insurance and recovery service
or
2. Wisper GPS Tracker and Alarm App only
We will install your GPS tracker into your new bike. The tracker is hidden in the frame and connected directly to the bike’s power supply.
We fit a Bluetooth beacon to enable pinpoint location when within a few meters range. If option one is chosen, we will arrange your subscription to the BackPedal Recovery Service, and theft insurance.
Step 2
Theft Recovery
Included only with option 1, insurance and recovery service
Within a few seconds of your bike being moved an alarm will sound on your smart phone. (If activated on the App).
Open the app and you will see your bike on a live map, the speed and direction it’s traveling and where it’s been.
Simply notify BackPedal within 24 hours via the theft line number supplied, go to the app and share your bike’s location and data. They’ll verify your details to make sure you are the owner and send their closest agent to recover your bike.
Recovery can take up to 2 weeks, but Most are recovered in as little as 24 hours. 85% of all bikes are recovered!
Step 3
BackUp Insurance
Included only with option 1, insurance and recovery service
If you are unlucky and your bike is not recoverable, don’t worry, we will send you a new one!
We at Wisper will send you a replacement bike as soon as we have been informed by BackPedal that they are not able to recover your bike, this would normally be about two weeks after the theft has been reported.
We will even cover the cost of delivery of your new replacement Wisper bike to your home. (UK mainland only)

We will do the rest!
1. We fit a GPS tracker to your bike hidden away in the frame and connected to your bike’s power supply. Only you will have the ability to track your bike’s movement. We will send you set-up instructions with the bike, it’s super easy, and we have experts a phone call away to help if you need us.
2. We fit a Bluetooth beacon to enable pinpoint location when in a few meters range.
3. If you choose the full Tracker, App, Recovery and Insurance option, we arrange your subscription to the BackPedal bicycle recovery service.
4. We arrange theft insurance for your bike.
The tracker has its own battery so it and the alarm will still work when the bikes battery is turned off or removed from the bike. The tracker’s battery will keep the tracker running for up to 21 days whist the bike is parked up.
What if my bike is stolen without a battery and the tracker battery is flat? Don’t worry, as soon as a new battery is installed it will recharge your tracker and you will receive an alarm on your smart phone as usual.
1. The blue lock icon when activated will set the alarm on your bike that will sound and show in your phone app if the bike is moved or even stood upright.
2. The compass icon on the right is to re-centre the map. The blue line shows the route that the bike has taken and the J in this case is exactly where Jack’s bike is situated. It refreshes every 10 seconds or so. As soon as the alarm sounds the tracking starts and the app will show real time exactly where the bike is and what speed it is doing.
3. The icon at the bottom left-hand side of your phone screen shows the state of the charge in your tracker. In this case it’s 100% full.

What is this type of insurance?
This product has been designed for those that need cover for their bicycle and fitted cycling accessories against theft or malicious damage as a result of attempted theft, while stored at their property or securely locked in a public place. Our policy has an annual limit up to the the value of the coverage tier that has been selected.
What are my obligations?
You must ensure correct installation and use of the BackPedal approved device to your bicycle, and maintain an active BackPedal Membership Subscription.
You must adhere to all of the terms and conditions of the Customer Terms and Conditions document.
You must pay the policy excess in respect of each and every claim.
You must correctly secure the bike insured with a Sold Secure Gold rated lock.
When and how do I pay?
• Your policy premium is paid by BackPedal as part of your subscription with them.
How do I cancel the contract?
• This cover will be cancelled when you cancel your BackPedal subscription. You may cancel your BackPedal subscription by contacting the BackPedal support team or online on backpedal.co
What is insured?
Replacement of your bicycle up to the value of the benefit limit, if your bicycle is stolen during the period of insurance.
Repair or replacement of your bicycle if it is damaged as a result of an attempted theft during the period of insurance. We will at our option, repair your bicycle and/or replace the damaged part(s).
Replacement or repair of your fitted cycling accessories up to the value of the benefit limit if they are stolen with your bicycle, or damaged together with your bicycle during the attempted theft.
What is not insured?
Theft from an outside area within the boundary of your home, unless your bicycle is a cargo bicycle and the policy Security Conditions have been met.
Theft where you have not met the policy security conditions.
Your Bicycle being used or cared for by a person under the age of 18 years.
Theft or malicious damaged of fitted cycling accessories unless as a result of an attempted theft, the bicycle is stolen or damaged in the same incident.
Any claim if at the time of a claim arising you do not hold an active Backpedal Membership Subscription.
Any claim if at the time of a claim arising you do not have an active tracking device properly installed on your bike, and/or the battery is charged at less than 20% capacity and/or the device is in passive mode.

When does the cover start and end?
The cover will start once you have purchased the BackPedal and Insurance subcription online and paid your subcription fee.
The cover will end the date you fail to pay your BackPedal subscription fee or the date you cancel your BackPedal subscription.
